About Us
Who is Citography?
Citography, is a young label with roots in Vienna, Munich and Rotterdam. It was founded by Max and Moritz Langer. No, these are not aliases, we are brothers and our parents are fans of Wilhelm Busch. Moritz (left half) studies geography and is the mastermind over the city map data. Max (right half) has studied strategic entrepreneurship in Rotterdam and is founder out of passion.
How did you come up with the idea?
Moritz wanted to give his girlfriend a special present, a city map poster of Sydney. This is the city his girlfriend went to for an au-pair year and which put the two to a test. Brother Max helped with the graphical implementation. After the present has created so much joy, many friends asked if they could also have a poster of a city they had a special connection to. Why should it only be for friends?
